About Us

DeNavi's has been a part of the Clovelly community for over 25 years

Award winning Christmas puddings since 2000.

Mary-Anne and Michael DeNavi

DeNavi's started off selling fruit and veg in Clovelly Road in 1993 - just as Michael's grandfather used to in Kings Cross in the 1930's. Soon time poor local families were clamouring for Mary-Anne's homemade bolognese, lasagne, risotto, soups and desserts. Her famous fig jam has taken prizes at the Sydney Fine Food Show year after year and people start ordering the exquisite Christmas puddings months in advance.

For years DeNavi's have supported local schools and charities and been a meeting point for community. Michael was one of the key figures in helping set up the local Community Bank.

Mick and Mary-Anne know their family backgrounds have shaped the way they have run their business. They both grew up in families where food was created using only fresh ingredients. Where creating and sharing the meal with family was an intrinsic part of their lives.

Like all good things there comes a time for change. Now it is time for the business to change direction. The store pulled down the shutter for the last time in August 2018. Since then DeNavi's has had time to pause and reflect .

DeNavi's kitchen on the corner commenced  with online shopping for the famous Christmas pudding .And so the new era begins.
